A psychoeducational evaluation is a valuable resource to identify learning strengths and weaknesses, identify learning styles and to develop an individualized plan for the family to enhance academic success. The evaluation consists of standardized tests of intelligence, academic achievement, and information processing skills. It also includes parent and teacher observations and interviews and a student interview.

Steven C. Chandler, M.A. has 30+ years of experience in the psychoeducational assessment and counseling of children, adolescents and families. A lifelong resident of the Nashville Tennessee area, Mr. Chandler has earned a reputation as being one of the most caring and down-to-earth professionals in his field. He has specific, state-of-the-art training in the evaluation and diagnosis of dyslexia and other reading disorders. Mr. Chandler has also served as a director of a mental health agency and practices in both private and public-school settings.

Kathleen Sowell, M.S. has worked with children and adults with disabilities for 30+ years. She has lived in the Nashville, Tennessee area since 1985. Her most recent employment experience has included 20 years of practice in higher education as a counselor, psychological examiner, and disability services director. Ms. Sowell is passionate about providing comprehensive and meaningful assessment, as well as assisting high-school students as they being to plan for post-secondary education.
